With What You Have, Indeed

My goodness gracious, loves, here it is! The new blog I've been creating for you! I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am to finally unveil what's been keeping me busy in every moment of available time over the past few months. I've moved the operation to a new platform, given it a new name, update the look and feel, and brought in some new features!

The new space has been in the works for the past three months, but the ideas have been simmering for much longer than that. How could I create a fresh space while still retaining the characteristics of the former blog that both you and I had come to love? It took much thought, input from you, and a tremendous amount of behind the scenes effort. And here we are!

I'm so, so proud of what it is! I'm dying over how large and crisp the photos are, how clean the text is, how calm and peaceful it feels. You'll find subscribing, commenting, and following a much easier experience, I hope. Many of you have asked me how you could support my work here that you've come to enjoy (thank you!). You'll now find a Gratuity button at the bottom of the blog's main page. You'll also find the Subscribe button and the search bar there.

NOTE: Your subscription from the old Assortment blog will not transfer to the new one. You'll need to subscribe here to receive blog updates in your inbox. Go ahead. Click on the button at the bottom of the page.

Across the top of the blog, you'll find post categories for easy access when you're interested in reading one of those topics. The new blog has posts archived back to the beginning of October. If you'd like to search the former blog for archives previous to that, it'll always be right here (there's also a link to it under the About tab at the top of the blog's main page. And if you know of anyone who has experience migrating a Typepad blog to Squarespace, let me know!). In January, I'll reveal more new features, which I'm excited to share (I think you'll love them).

So, come in, loves, look around, settle in. I admit I'm not one bit savvy about technical things (thank goodness for tutorials) so there may be wrinkles to smooth as we go along in this new space, but I'm not worried. Look what can come when you set your mind and roll your sleeves. With what you have, indeed.

Wishing you all the best this holiday season! I'm sending warm hugs your way. Merry Christmas!

xoxo
