With What You Have | 61

Words about contentment inspired this series that celebrates ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness. Join me in the comments and share what you've done with what you have.

When the tub faucet's running, and the scrub brush is scrubbing, and the general hubbub of cleaning is louder than the loudest volume setting (because don't we all clean house while playing music, a podcast, or an audiobook?), a bit of an audio boost is in order. Sure, there are any number of fancy wireless speakers available out there, some surely worth their weight in audio quality and such, but consider this: all you really need to make sound bigger is a simple echo chamber.

Something like an enamelware cup, if that's what's handy on the edge of the bathroom sink. Like a coffee mug, if you really mean business and want to truck the show from room to room. Empty cups, mind you. And dry, of course.

No problem, now, to hear Jingle BellsPantsuit Politics, or the lines of Fredrik Backman's A Man Called Ove.

Do what you can with what you have.

P.S. Yes, I still use an iPhone 4. Yes, it has a cracked screen. No, I don't think I need another until this one dies (what with the title of this series, and all). Have a lovely weekend, friends!
